June Parenting Horoscopes

Your #1 Resource for Planet-Informed Parenting

Can you believe it’s been a year since last summer? A year of fun activities, a year of learning, a year of dropping the kids off at school, and suddenly – just like that – we’re back to June. By now, you’re a pro at this, so we won’t suggest much in terms of what to do with your child. But what to wear? That’s a whole other story. Here’s some summer style advice, according to the stars:

Aries: It’s no use getting your wild child super-nice clothes this summer – they’ll be playing in the dirt all season! Opt instead for something useful for hours of outside play, like a sun hat.

Taurus: Taurus children are very in tune with the earth. They’ll feel most comfortable in clothing made of all-natural fibers, like this adorable Pea Green Linen Romper.

Gemini: It’s birthday season for your little Gemini! Your kid is not one to shy away from attention, so get them a celebratory shirt that announces them as the star of the hour.

Cancer: Cancers are very in touch with their instincts, and this manifests especially strongly in social situations. Get them something versatile, like a jean jacket, which they can don or shed at ease.

Leo: You know that song, Ready to Run, by The Chicks? That’s your Leo! With Mars in their sign most of the month, be prepared for an energetic household. Invest in some play shorts, and maybe a new pair of kicks.

Virgo: During the summer, Virgo’s eschew their typical neuroses and lean into their inner decadence. Encourage personal expression with a few colorful, patterned fabrics.

Libra: Your little Libra has been a bit of a homebody lately, but sleepover season is about to be in full swing. Get them some cute new pajamas to feel comfortable in!

Scorpio: Your child is a water sign, and they’ll find the element completely irresistible this month. It’s time to sign them up for swimming lessons! And get them a new swimsuit to celebrate the occasion.

Sagittarius: Early June brought both a full moon and a lunar eclipse in Sagittarius, so your kid is especially in tune with the universe. Get a fitting uniform for the little explorer.

Capricorn: This month, your Capricorn will be enjoying a newfound power as Pluto alights their chart. They’ll need a whole new wardrobe for this big change, so start easy with a few sets

Aquarius: Your Aquarius is as sweet as they are unique. Dress them in something that puts their wildest dreams within reach, like the Unicorn Galaxy Dress or the totally retro Blue Checker Shark Shirt.

Pisces: Saturn is in your kid’s sign until June 17th, which means they’ll be looking towards the future. Let them dress for the life they want, be that a superhero or a little mermaid.

More on Ragamuffin’s Parenting Horoscopes:

The last two decades have seen an unprecedented rise in conscious parenting. New approaches like Montessori, gentle parenting, and slow parenting have arisen as alternative options to the authoritarian style of yore. Additionally, the Internet has made it easier to share resources and learn from those who have “gone through it” before us. Of course, raising a child isn’t a one-size-fits-all deal. Most parents will tell you that their own approach includes a little of this, a little of that, and above all else adjustments for their particular kid’s needs. Enter: astrology.

While plenty of articles explain your own parenting style according to the zodiac, there’s currently very little on how to adapt that to your child’s individual needs. Starting in January 2023, Ragamuffin is offering monthly Parenting Horoscopes. By cross-referencing resources like Astrology Zone’s Susan Miller, the Astro Poets, and NASA’s Solar System Tracker, we’ll suggest planet-informed parenting tips adapted to each sign of the zodiac.

Remember, these signs are written with your child’s sign in mind. That said, feel free to read the entry for your own astrological sign and report the findings back to grandma. Whether you truly believe the stars have a say in our fate, or you’re just reading for fun, we hope you’ll get some good insights on how to raise individual humans of every disposition.
